North East Texas Child Care Services
The North East Texas Child Care Services (CCS) program helps eligible low-to moderate-income families offset the cost of child care. Parents who are working, in training, enrolled in education or who are participating in a workforce program may be eligible. Over 1000 families and more than 1600 children in the nine counties (Bowie, Cass, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Red River, or Titus) of the North East Texas area are currently participating in this program.
Through the Texas Workforce Commission, using a combination of state and federal funding, CCS provides affordable child care for parents. The goal of the child care program is to enable low-to moderate-income families to become self-sufficient; support the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children; and to prevent the abuse and neglect of children.
Our child care program also offers parents the freedom to choose the provider that best meets their needs. The parent may select any licensed or registered child care provider or a qualified relative to provide care for their children. The cost for the parent varies based on their gross monthly income and the rates the chosen provider charges.
