Resource Room
The North East Texas Workforce Centers are designed to help jobseekers find employment or enhance their marketability skills. Several options are available to meet individual needs whether one is seeking a new job, a better job, or their first job. Resource rooms located in all Workforce Centers ensure jobseekers have access to a variety of services.
The following services are available at no cost to jobseekers.
Job Search Resources
Our Resource Library provides assistance in job searches and/or career exploration. Below is a sample of resources available to all jobseekers.
- Internet job search: www.workintexas.com and www.workforcesystem.org
- Resume tutorial (Winway Résumé)
- Mouse Tutorial,Typing tutorial, 10 Key Tutorial
- Labor Market Information and Career Exploration Software (Tracer & Oscar)
- Online access to all newspaper ads
- Copy, Fax, Phone, and Mail service (limits apply)
- Catalogues on area schools as well as information on scholarships and career training
- Videos and books on job search, resume writing, interviewing techniques, careers, etc.
Other Services
Networking and small group orientations may be the key to uncovering job openings and career development opportunities. Other services offered at the Workforce Centers are:
- Job Search and Employment Success Workshops
- Assessment of skills, interest and aptitude
- Computer Based Training Room
Based on eligibility, jobseekers may also qualify for the following services:
- Veteran Sevices
- WIA
- Experience Works and Service Employment & Redevelopment (SER) "Over 55 program"
- Work experience and limited classroom training
