Youth services provide assistance to individuals between the ages of 14-21 who meet income requirements in defining their educational and career goals.

Activities may include:

  • Tutoring, study skills training, and instruction leading to the completion of secondary school, including dropout prevention strategies,
  • Alternative secondary school services,
  • Paid and unpaid work experience, including internships and job shadowing,
  • Occupational skills training,
  • Leadership development opportunities, which include community service and peer-centered activities encouraging responsibility and other positive social behaviors during non-school hours,
  • Support services such as child care, transportation, work clothes and others,
  • Adult mentoring during participation and after leaving the program,
  • Follow-up services to support continued success in achieving education, employment and other planned goals.
