WIOA Youth Eligibility

WIOA In-School Youth Eligibility

You may qualify for Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas’s Youth Services if you meet all of the following criteria: 1) You are between the ages of 14-21, 2) You are a U.S. Citizen, 3) Registered with Selective Service (for males 18 and over), 4) You are Low-Income and 5) You meet one or more of these barriers:

  • Basic Skills Deficient;
  • An English Language Learner;
  • Offender;
  • A Homeless individual
  • An Individual in Foster Care;
  • Pregnant or Parenting Youth;
  • An Individual with a Disability; or
  • Require additional assistance to complete an educational program, or to secure and hold employment


WIOA Out-Of-School Youth Eligibility

You may qualify for Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas’s Youth Services if you meet all of the following criteria: 1) You are between the ages of 16-24, 2) You are a U.S. Citizen, 3) Registered with Selective Service (for males 18 and over), 4) meet the definition of Out of School Youth at WIOA §681.210 and 5) meet one or more of these barriers:

  • School dropout;
  • Basic Skills Deficient;
  • English Language Learner: 
  • An Individual with a Disability:
  • Homeless;
  • Foster child;
  • Pregnant or Parenting;
  • Offender; or
  • A low income individual who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program, or to secure and hold employment
