Dental Hygienists

A dental hygienist is a licensed professional who provides a range of preventive oral hygiene care. Their primary responsibilities include cleaning teeth by removing deposits, inspecting gums and lymph nodes for disease or abnormalities, and taking and developing X-rays to assess oral health. They also play a critical role in educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and disease prevention, maintaining patient records, and assisting the dentist in developing treatment plans. This profession requires a combination of strong communication, critical thinking, and dexterity, often performed in a dental office setting with many working part-time hours.
